Chapter
Two - Beezel's Snack
Episode Eight
"And now, my sweet Beezel, it is time to awaken."
Hearing his name, the creature yawns and blinks his eye, once,
twice, three times. He has been asleep for days and is hungry, very
hungry.
Lady Witless picks up a scrap of paper and holds it high, near
Beezel's nose. He sniffs, then stretches out his long tongue to
taste it. Suddenly, the paper blackens and curls, a tiny flame dancing
above it.
SLLLUURRRPPP!
Beezel licks his fuzzy lips and strains forward for the next
treat.
"Here you are, my Beezel. I have a hearty snack for you."
She feeds him another scrap, then another, and another. As she dips
into the pile of words again and again, she hums a tune similar
to, yet strikingly different from, one often sung by children on
a planet far away.
"Now I've said my z, y, x's, I'm so happy with my hexes."
